Donald Scott graduated from Auburn University in Alabama in 1987, where he earned a double major in graphic design and illustration and started work as a graphic design paste-up artist with a design firm in Atlanta.

Donald Scott's main focus is historical African American events and figures. By conducting intensive research prior to drawing the first line he insures accuracy in the depiction of the person or event.
